OH BOY!

We had a 3D ultrasound earlier this week and it was pretty amazing to see! She did a few measurements to see how big he is and let's just say he is not going to be a small baby. Right now he is weighing almost 5lbs, coming in at 4lbs 14 oz. I knew he was big but not that big. She did a few bone measurements too and his femur is measuring at 35 weeks and I am 31 weeks today. He is head down already, sitting right on my bladder. I literally go to the restroom every hour and get up 4 times at night. We are very grateful to be in this situation no matter what size he is. The good thing is I get to see him again next week for a growth scan at my dr. office. I need to post another belly pic so you can see the size of this thing, it's huge! 2 people have asked me if I am having twins. Makes me so happy about our decision on only putting in 1 embryo, not that I don't think about that other embryo all the time!
Let me update a little about my weight gain, well, I have gained 25lbs already and counting. My OB thinks I will gain 40lbs. I don't feel like I eat any more, in fact I know I am eating less. It so hot in AZ that we don't make meals at night, we eat pretty light. Oh well, it will be a fun challenge getting back into shape before the next FET.

  1. That 3D ultrasound must be so cool! I have to look into that. Glad to hear you have such a healthy boy in there - that's wonderful! I know what you mean about feeling huge. I have gained 18 lbs already, and I am only at 20 weeks! I don't even want to think about where I'll be at 31 weeks!

So excited for you, we'll be seeing that big boy soon enough now!

  2. Whoa baby, you have a grower in there! I love hearing the estimated weight of babies that are just a little ahead of our boys so I can anticipate how big they might be by the next ultrasound- though I have a feeling these little guys will be tiny in comparison to your big healthy boy :) I'm looking forward to following along with your pregnancy for the next several weeks and also once your little guy arrives!

  3. Sounds like a big boy!! Looking forward to hearing his size at the next ultrasound. He's bigger than my boy (he measured about 4.5 lb last Fri) and I'm almost 35 weeks!

  4. I wish my office would do growth scans. I have no idea how big this one is--other than that she is measuring on track. Congrats! Can't wait to hear how much bigger you/he get.

  6. He's going to be a big boy! I bet you are all baby! I'm still gaining in my 40th week when I thought it was supposed to slow down. about 36 lb overall. I hope he comes on time, so he's not too big :) I hear you on the bladder front - it's pretty ridiculous and it just gets worse as you go along. Maybe he will shift positions - Did you get a picture of his little face?
