26 Weeks

I can't believe I haven't posted in 5 weeks, time seems to be flying by. Everything is going very well with the pregnancy.  I am pretty sure he is going to be a big baby. A stranger asked me the other day if I was 7 months pregnant, um, nope, almost 6. I don't mind people telling me how big my belly is, it just makes me happy to know he is growing.

So many things have been happening. We moved into a new home, we are still settling in and still need to start on the baby room. We are going back to the midwest for 9 days in a couple weeks and I am hoping when we come back we will get motivated to set up his room. We still have nothing for him, not a crib, nothing. We don't even have any names picked out, not even one. For some reason I don't love anything. I like everything but I just don't love it. I sure hope it comes to us when he is born.

I try to exercise at least 5x's a week and have been going to prenatal yoga which I really have been enjoying. But let me tell you running while pregnant is NOT fun. I miss running so much but as many times as I have to go pee when I run I rather just walk. Seriously on a 2 mile run I will pee 4 times, pulling your pants down behind a bush, while pregnant, is not that fun. I do enjoy the elliptical, walking and some pregnancy DVD I got from Target.

The only complaint I have is not being able to see him more. I haven't seen him since 18.5 weeks and I am currently 26 weeks today.  We plan on scheduling one of those 3D ultrasounds in a couple weeks and I can't wait. I will post another pic again here soon so you can all see this big belly!

  1. Glad to hear all is well! I've decided comments on the belly either way are not appreciated as I keep getting "OMG you're 6 months?! You're tiny!" I don't think I will ever comment on a pregnant belly ever again unless it's to say "You're belly looks beautiful!!!"

I'm right there with you with names, just not loving anything and hoping that a name comes to us when he/she is born!

  2. It's so wonderful that you are working out 5 days a week, that will help you get back into your body really fast. You are so disciplined!!

I'm very happy things are going great. Enjoy your trip to the midwest and your upcoming ultrasound.

Thanks for your comment on my blog. You are very sweet for not wanting to celebrate Mother's Day, it is very thoughtful of you. You went through a lot to get to where you are though, and if you change your mind and want to make a big deal every year I think it will be Ok too. xoxo

  7. I found that people who asked how many months along I was, generally had not a CLUE what people look like pregnant. You pop so much at different phases - at 5 months people told me I didn't look pregnant, at 7 months they thought 8-9. People don't have a clue. :)

THe visual of you peeing on the side of the path while pregnant is pretty damn funny, just saying!

You have SO much time to work on the nursery. We didn't even start until 32 weeks I think? And had plenty of time. Try not to stress about it. ;)

  8. Congrats on your new home! Ppl will say all kinds of crazy things when you's pregnant. My own friend told me I have a big bum. You're working out! Awesome! So many women can't due to physical restriction or fatigue. Good for you.
