NT Scan

Today I finally got to see our little one again and boy has it changed! It finally looks like a real baby. Unfortunately, my uterus was having a contraction the entire time and it was smashing the baby in the corner. We tried everything to change it's position. I laid on my side, they tilted me way back, they had me release some of the water I drank and nothing. Needless to say they couldn't guess on the sex. Oh well, we still enjoyed every minute today. We did get to see him/her clapping it's hands as well and banging it's head on my uterus, what a sight to see. Today's heart rate was 171. Baby was measuring 12 weeks today and I am 11.5 weeks today. Today was pure happiness. I can't believe what is happening inside my uterus and I can't wait to meet this little one!

11 weeks

I know my posts are lacking and are not too exciting but thought I would still update. I had my labs tested again today and everything is looking good. My nurse said I should be done by next week with everything so that is exciting, yet scary because I don't have too much faith in my body sometimes. February is a big month for a lot of you out there and I can't wait to follow everyone along!

E2: 1015
P4: 22

I will go down to 1 vivelle patch every other day and continue with the 1 suppository nightly until we check labs again next week.

10 Week Lab Results

Here are my results from my labs this week. I like to post this stuff because I found it very helpful to look back at other blogs to see where they were at. Also, I know there is another FET in the future for me so I want to be able to compare.

Estradiol: 917
Progesterone: 20

Both numbers went down so I am not making any changes this week. 2 patches every other day and 1 suppository at night. I am assuming by 12 weeks I should be off  all support.

I finally bought a belly band the other day and wore it to work with my jeans yesterday and it was awesome. My jeans felt normal, they weren't falling off from being unbuttoned and held together with a hair tie. I folded it over as I didn't like it over my belly.

10 weeks

Every week brings me a little bit more reassurance that things are likely going to be okay. I’m still not feeling the best, the worst of it is usually at nighttime. I am very tired when I get home from work and nauseous. I feel better in the mornings and afternoons. Sometimes I go to bed so early just so I can wake up feeling better.  I keep telling my husband that I am really grateful to feel this way, and hopefully once we get out of the first trimester I will get some actual food cravings!

I had my hormones tested this morning. Right now I am currently on 1 progesterone suppository daily at bedtime and 2 estrogen patches every other day. I think once I am off the meds I will probably feel better too.

We have the big NT scan scheduled for Jan. 31 and don't ask me why but of course I am nervous and scared. Although we did do CCS and it has a 90% accuracy rate. I can't help not to think about that 10%. I know I need to relax!

2nd Ultrasound

I had an ultrasound yesterday and it was amazing. I didn't even have to have the dildo one, they did everything from my belly. We got to see our little one moving around, it's little arm buds and heart beating. It's just an amazing sight. I was 9w1d for the ultrasound and he/she is still measuring 1 day ahead. Heart rate was 167. Yesterday's ultrasound made me feel a lot less scared and worried. I know I am not out of the woods yet but with each passing week I at least feel a little better and especially after seeing him/her move around, that just made my month! They gave me a birth date, Aug. 15th.

First OB Appointment

It went well. I didn't know what to expect. Not much happened today, not even an u/s. I got to pee in a cup, and have more blood work.  She did check my cervix and she said it looked great. So I was happy about that. I was so super sad that I didn't get to see anything today.  She did get a fetal doppler out and she found the heartbeat so it was nice being able to hear that at least. I think she was more excited about it than I was. It's so hard to get your hopes up, will that ever change? CCRM called me today while I was waiting for the ob to come in. I told them I need to get an ultrasound so I am scheduled tomorrow at a Simon Med place. Not my first choice but it is covered by insurance. My ob did mention my uterus is rather enlarged. I don't know how to interpret that. I wish I asked more questions I am not a very detailed person. Sometimes I just go with the flow a little too much. My next appointment is in 2 weeks.

Here are todays results for my labs.
Estradiol: 1150
Progesterone: 26.5

Both numbers continue to go up so I am going down in the meds. I start going down to 2 vivelle patches and 1 suppository on Jan. 17.

Starting To Wean

I get to start weaning of the meds. So exciting, a little scared but way more excited. Each step closer to feeling more "normal" during this pregnancy makes me very happy. Both of my numbers went up a lot from the last time I had them checked and I really think now that the spotting was from low progesterone.

Here are the numbers:
Estradiol: 1088 (instead of 4 patches every other day, 3 patches every other day)
Progesterone: 23 (instead of 3 suppositories daily, down to 2) This is the one I am most excited about!

I get me levels checked again next Thursday to make sure we can continue with the weaning process.

So Grateful To Be Here

8 weeks that is. With every passing Thursday I am ever so grateful because it marks a new week of this pregnancy. Sure I am still fearful it can all be taken away, I think that is mainly due to the spotting. So far things have been going pretty well. I am not showing by any means but most of my pants don't fit, too tight. I have to admit they were tight months ago from gaining a few pounds for IVF and lack of exercise.  Fortunately, I have some "fat" pants from years ago that I am able to use until I really need to purchase maternity closes.

As far as morning sickness goes. Well, I have not been puking but I am nauseous all day long. It's hard to eat 3 meals a day. The thought, sight and smell of any food just makes me sick. We can't even cook anything at home because the smells make me feel even more sick. My stomach is always growling at me. I usually can only fruit and toast and nothing with sugar! I have a huge sweet tooth so not having or wanting anything sweet is not normal for me. Needless to say I have not gained any wait, I actually lost a few pounds but I think that is due to losing muscle from not exercising in so long. I don't mind the daily nausea at all, it gives me hope that I am still pregnant. I sure can't wait though to start enjoying some food again. I keep telling myself it will be very soon!

I did email CC.RM regarding the spotting and if I could switch to the PIO shot and they said I could but it would be better if I could just finish with what I am doing now since we are close to weaning off the meds. I have my labs checked today. So I am going to suck it up and finish with the suppositories. I am trying to not put them near my cervix when I insert them. I have a feeling I am not going to be changing my dosage for at least another week.

Next week I have 2 ultrasounds one that CC.RM orders and the other is my first visit to my OB.

In the mean time this is how I fixed some of my pants so they fit. I got the idea from pinterest!
