FET Phone Consult...DONE!

We had our FET phone consult with Dr. G today.

He just has a way to make me feel so calm about the whole process. We haven't decided when we are going to do our next transfer, my husband and I have different time frames in mind. I want to do late May, early June, he wants to wait until late August, early September. So we need to figure that out first, along with our work schedules. With the next FET comes updated testing, this is what I need: an updated pap smear, ultrasound of my uterus, mammogram, HSG and blood work done before we start. All that testing will surely take me a couple months to complete. The conversation was pretty short, he asked about the pregnancy and delivery and if I had any complications. He went on to explain that we have remaining 1-CCS normal embryo, excellent quality, 5AB. He said he felt very confident in the next FET and he didn't have any concerns. I must admit I sure did love hear all the praise about our embryo, it just makes me feel so very hopeful. It was so weird thinking about doing this all over again. I had one last question I started to ask,  the what  IF...then Dr. G cut me off and said we will cross that bridge IF we get there.

And so it begins...

  1. I love Dr. G. I had him for one of my retrievals and one monitoring cycle. He is so nice. So pleasant. I only have nice things to say about him.

It will all go great Krista, it will work, I'm sure of it!

  2. Wow, exciting!! I can't believe you're on to an FET track already. Time flies...

  3. So excited for you Krista! Wow! Not long a go i was reading your BFP post!....cant wait to do it's to Logan's little sibling!

  4. I love Dr. G too! Glad everything is ready to go once your tests are done. So is all that testing just standard - curious as to why you would need an HSG? Good luck figuring out the timing. So exciting!

    1. I am not sure of why I have to do a HSG again, seems like old news. I will make sure to ask once my nurse send me my info, which should be next week. I will let you know for sure.

  5. Thanks Krista - just seems like it would not be all that necessary since you don't need a clear tube for IVF. and also expensive as my insurance would probably not cover it.

  6. wow, I can't believe you are already moving to baby #2! We are thinking of it too - but taking the steps and making the call seems so huge! So exciting!!!

  7. So excited for you! I can't wait to be working on #2.

  8. Krista,
I sent you an email... just wondering what all is required for a FET following pregnancy. Thanks so much!!
