10 weeks

Every week brings me a little bit more reassurance that things are likely going to be okay. I’m still not feeling the best, the worst of it is usually at nighttime. I am very tired when I get home from work and nauseous. I feel better in the mornings and afternoons. Sometimes I go to bed so early just so I can wake up feeling better.  I keep telling my husband that I am really grateful to feel this way, and hopefully once we get out of the first trimester I will get some actual food cravings!

I had my hormones tested this morning. Right now I am currently on 1 progesterone suppository daily at bedtime and 2 estrogen patches every other day. I think once I am off the meds I will probably feel better too.

We have the big NT scan scheduled for Jan. 31 and don't ask me why but of course I am nervous and scared. Although we did do CCS and it has a 90% accuracy rate. I can't help not to think about that 10%. I know I need to relax!

  1. I'm glad you're feeling a bit more reassured. I think once you get out of the first trimester you'll be able to relax a bit. You've been through a LOT to get where you are!

  2. Krista - You will be feeling better in a few weeks! I also felt terrible during the evening hours. Hang in there, it will pass. I was also pretty nervous about the NT scan. I am sure yours will be fine, especially since you did the CCS testing. And once you get done with that you can relax a lot!

  3. Congrats on 10 weeks! I don't blame you at all for being nervous, the stakes are so high. But as you say most likely everything will be just fine. Looking forward to hearing about a great NT scan!

  4. Sounds like your symptoms are very similar to mine. Even when I go to bed earlier, I still wake up exhausted. That's awesome that you had CCS testing done, we had none done... that's definitely v. reassuring. Hope all continues to go smoothly!

    1. We have told immediate family, they knew all about the transfer. We have told a few very close friends but that is all. I am waiting until 13 weeks to tell anyone at work.
