Ramblings

Acupuncture: I really wanted this to work for me and truley believe it has long term benefits but I have decided not so do it and save money.  It costs $95 a session and that is just too much for us right now.  I think I will do it at CCRM though before and after the transfer to help relax me and my uterus.

Endo Biopsy: Well, I was torn on this one. I did decide to call and make an appointment but I couldn't get in until Nov. 15th.  I feel like that is too late as we could possibly be doing FET the first week in December.

FET: CD1 should be this weekend, I know they are starting me on BCP's for the first part and I am really concerned about that as I have ovulated through BCP's before. I am going to write my nurse and voice my concern on that plan. We are still leaning toward transferring only one. There are so many reasons and I do waiver back and forth everyday but my heart is telling me to only do one at a time.

Exercise:  In November I am going to cut back, a lot! I work out pretty hard sometimes and typically twice a day. I want to make sure my body is not stressed out from all the workouts.

  1. Sounds like you have a plan! I cut back on exercise before FET and I think it may have helped. It's kinda fun to be a couch potato for a short time and experience how 90% of Americans live:) Are you going to have lupron with your FET cycle? That will suppress ovulation for sure.

  2. I'm excited for you that your FET is coming up! It sounds like you're preparing for it in the best way possible. Makes sense to voice any issues with BCP's you've had in the past...you know your body best. Really hoping this will be the one!

  3. I have ovulated before on BCP before and that was a concern of mine but my nurse told me that there wouldn't be a problem if I did. Double check with your own nurse of course so you can have peace of mind but they are fine with it. Cutting down on the workouts is probably a good idea :-) I admire you working out twice a day though, wow!

  4. Yikes! That's super expensive for acupuncture - I don't blame you for not doing it - this stuff is all so expensive - it adds up quickly. I think as long as you do it before and after transfer like you're planning, that's the main thing.

  5. Good call on doing accupuncure at CCRM. Totally worth it. And I believe it makes a difference. Trials prove it. Comedy after the transfer has been proven to improve the results as well. So I watched stand up comics on you tube back at the hotel. Good luck with your cycle.

  6. I stopped weekly acupuncture for the same reason. I agree though that doing it at CCRM makes sense. Your FET will be here soon!
